Hi All

Day 151 of retirement is now posted.

http://trevorkloeden.wordpress.com/2010/07/

We are currently on a "Signal 1" of 4 for Typhoon "Basyang" which is off the eats coast of the Philippines at the moment. Just getting lots of rain at present here. Hopefully will miss Manila.

We have a friend trying to get to Manila from Marinduque but is stuck as all the Ro-Ros are closed by the Typhoon wind warnings.

My first Typhoon.....

Cheers

MMmmm hard to explain but it is like a cold thick shake with crushed ice in it with hot chewy sago balls in the bottom.

You get this huge straw that you suck up the balls and thick shake mix, and then chew the balls.

You can get some very weird flavours and we haven't had a bad one yet....  drink  waytogo

Very refreshing on a hot day and supposedly full of calcium...  Roll Eyes

Here is the website but it doesn't give much info on the secret recipe....  Cool

Hi All

All good after Typhoon Basyang (went through from 9:00pm last night to 4:00am this morning). Only minor damage in our part of the city (trees, fences & the odd window).

Lots of wind, rain and lightening. Our house is fine.  waytogo  waytogo  waytogo

But no power for the last 17 hours and no idea when it will be back on.

All schools closed today so the kids are loving it.

Just at the Mall and look what I picked up........  waytogo

A Galil (Israeli) .223 full auto with grenade launcher.... And yes it is real.

What every good Duke rider should have for "fixing" cagers who cause you grief.......

They have a mega gun show on at the Mall where you can get shot guns, rifles, machine guns, pistols, pepper spray and stun guns of all shapes and sizes. Guns are everywhere over here. All you need is the cash and you can get pretty much what ever you want, legally....

The finger on the trigger was a little dis-concerting ... but that cold emotion-less stare into the camera  Shocked

Things are obviously quite a bit different over there.

You have always filled in your time with 'extreme' sports ... extreme Monster, extreme climbing, extreme mountain-biking, extreme friends.

Just don't go running off into the bush and becoming a religious extremist, okay?

You can now add "extreme retirement" to my list of extreme's......  waytogo  Grin
