History:

Spring of 2005 -- Bought a '95 Monster (red, w/ 60s Diana paint on tank). Joined TOF.

Summer 2007 -- got lane-changed into on the 110 N, bike bounced off center wall and landed on me, breaking leg in two places. Monster totaled.

May 2008 -- bought a '95 900 SS (not a Monster, I know), tried logging in at TOF, which is how I found this place.

Thanks to all for making this happen.

Welcome, glad you found your way here. waytogo

Your accident sounds scary, hope you are all recovered from it. Shocked

No matter that your current bike is not a monster, we'd still love to see pictures of it if you get a chance. Smiley [moto]

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Thanks! The accident sucked, mostly because I really liked that bike. I was on my way home, having just picked it up from Moto Servicio after a big service.

And then in a cast for a almost two months (Summer months, mind you), another I don't know how many weeks of PT. But everything worked out. And one thing about the experience: Every single medical pro -- from the EMTs to the ER to the bone doctors to the PT staff -- every one of them was so cool. I was definitely well cared for.

Thanks again for the welcome.

And the photos. Here's the departed Monster:

And my recent reenactment of that same photo (same tankbag, even Grin):
