M-Label Rizoma clone mirror review

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280449624301&ih=018&category=35610&_trksid=p3911.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26ps%3D6%26clkid%3D8889213766514051593
I received my M-Label mirrors today and my initial impression is that they look pretty good. To me, they look identical to Rizoma Reverse Retros (there was some discussion on another thread that they may be the same mirror), they appear to be very stout and well machined. The flex joint is tight, but the adjusting movement is smooth. The mirror is flat glass with a blue tint that looks a bit too dark for me. The mirrors come with several plastic bushings intended to adapt the mounting feature to various diameters of bars and bar-ends. Delivered price to USA was $89 for the pair.
I have not decided how to mount them yet. Rizoma shows theirs mounted on cylindrical bar ends, but M-Label only sells tapered ones. I may buy a set of cheap cylindricals or have my pops machine something up for me. Alternativley, if one has the room to slide their controls further into the bars, they could be mounted there (width of the mounting arm is .53 inches/13.5mm).
I'll update with more information after mounting and riding with them. In my opinion, they look better than the Napoleons I'm currently using, but I anticipate that rearward vision will not be as good.

I love these mirrors, but could never justify the $100+ per side for the Rizoma's. At less than half the cost this seems like a viable option. Anxious to see what you think about them.

Thanks for the review lion.
Surprised the glass is not convex. Maybe that, and the price, are the differences with the Rizoma. Can anyone confirm the Rizoma Reverse Retro has convex glass?

These look GREAT, exactly what I've been waiting for. Love the look of the Rizomas, but couldn't stomach the price. But I'm wondering, will they fit on my Tommaselli clip-ons?? I believe my bar-ends are cylindrical, too...

That is one of the mountings I will try, but I may not have the room. The mirror bracket is just over a half inch wide. I am using higher rise bars than stock so there is a limit to how much I can move my controls inwards...limited by the first downward bend. This would be the ideal mount as I would be clamping directly to the bar and would not have to worry about spinning a bar end if mounted on that. I'll let you know!

Yes, anxiously awaiting to hear if the flat glass is a pain in the butt. Got my finger on the order button.

OK fellows, here are some photos of the mirrors installed on my ride. I ended up scootching the controls inward as far as they could go and mounted the mirrors directly on the bar, and then installed the Rizoma bar-ends I had taken off when I used the Napoleons. I think they look really good! Ride report will have to wait until tomorrow.

I just ordered mine, guessing that if I didn't like them, they'd be easy to sell.
Orange, how long did it take from order date to you receiving them, seeing as they come from HK?

Ordered on the 23rd and arrived on the 31st. That was to SoCal...points further east might take another day or so? I believe M-Label states 7 to 14 days to the USA.

Rode the bike with the new mirrors today, and I am happy with the results. I would recommend these to anyone looking for an alternative to the Rizmos. The view in the mirrors is restricted ( a lot smaller than the Napoleons they replaced), but I found it adequate and there was no blurring due to vibration...I even got used to the blue tint after a few minutes. I would not hesitate to purchase another pair.
