3 1/2. I konw hes a little young, But i have been saving since he was born.  I would rather have him wait to ride  than learn to ride with training wheels.   I  got  a pretty smoking deal on the 50... now to pick a dirtbike for myself!  FWIW i started when i was 5

Don't force him... just let him discover the fun himself. The only problem is... it looks like you are in for 14 years of bike upgrading, parts buying, and dirty clothes washing... but hopefully he will pay you back when he goes pro. Congrads!

Really? My Dad got me a 50 when I was about 8 - said "here ya go"! and off I went.  [moto]
When I was 14 he would drop me off at the motocross track with my TM125 at 7 in the morning on race day and pick me up at 4:30 or 5 : "how'd ya do, shithead"?

"Didn't break anything dad..."  chug

this shit is FUN!    Eager to wheelie and moves pretty well, makes me wish I had my gear....or my own dirtbike. I am looking forward to riding with my son as I rode, and still do today, with my pops.  STOKED!

We are working with the 4 yr old already.  I got home from work yesterday and my wife told me Allie had something to tell me.  She is already planning to get a dirtbike once she gets to remove her training wheels from the Barbie bike.  "When I learn to ride without training wheels I'll get a motorcycle that rides in the dirt!"

Cool

My boys started at 6 and 11.  Now 21 and 26.  Enjoy.

The younger started the Monster thing, he found a deal, we bought it.  He got it straightened out  after long term lack of use, '95 with less than 3000 miles in 2006.  I rode it after he had it running good, had to have one.
