I once was accused of popping a wheelie in front of the local police station. I was pulled over on another street about a quarter mile from the city limits and the officer gave me a ticket for careless driving. When I went to court I argued that the officer couldn't prove that it was ME on MY red motorcycle that he saw pop a wheelie since he not only lost sight of the vehicle in question, but had to get in his car, make two turns to get onto the street I was on (going through numerous other intersections along the way), and fight through traffic before he saw me on a red motorcycle and assumed it was me.
The judge (who is basically a rubber stamp for the local police, she has a bad record) stopped me while I was asking the officer questions. She asked me flat out, "Did you pull that wheelie?" To which I responded, "I don't have to answer that question." She ended the hearing and ruled guilty.
The charges were dismissed before the appeal was even heard.
