I thought I read a thread a few weeks ago about somebody found a place that could reflash their stock ECU to DP spec for something like $250? I could be wrong, and confused about the details, but that's right IIRC. The person simply had to mail it in (to a guy in like pennsylvania?) and he would reflash it and send it back. Turnover is like a week or so. I have no link for thread, as I can't even remember the topic, but maybe that will turn on a bulb for someone else to help out?

Bobby with Desmoporsche does re-flashing of ECU's.  I just installed one for my S2R1K and am very satisfied  waytogo

Its about $250 for re-flash your ECU or $460 to purchase a used ECU reflashed.  Check with Desmoporche to see if they can do something for the 2009 M696.    I do not see anything on the website saying they can but you never know.

He was one of the first people I contacted. The 696/1100's have a completely new ECU made by siemens. As a result of this no one currently reflashes these ecu's. All new Duc's come with the Siemens and so far none of them can be flashed...

Strange. I would have expected Ducati to keep the same ECU manufacturer with all new models
