My battery is dead and i just want to make sure that YT12B-4 is the right one for a 2001 900Sie.

Just asking since the battery is all black without labels.

YT12B-BS is the correct battery.

they're interchangeable.  one has a bigger recess in the top for the clamps used on the 996, etc and st series bikes.  later bikes (st3, st4s) used the smaller recess one with the appropriate bracket.

either is fine in the 900m.
