When I took my M696 to the track this past weekend, I reduced the pressure in the tires, as usual.  Since this was the first time I had done that, when I got home I couldn't recall what the Ducati recommended pressures are.  Here is the confusion:

The manual says 31/32 front/rear (this is psi, the book has it in bar).

The sticker on the bike, which I have under the seat now, says 32/37 f/r (psi).

That is some difference in the rear.  Any explanation?

37 psig is wayyy to high in my opinion on the rear tire.

I would do 32/34 psig for street use.  But, as always, it's personal preference.

The sticker on the bike is for when you're carrying a passenger (or otherwise come close to the bike's maximum load).

That's assuming you're talking about the sticker which is labeled #2 on page 122 of your manual.

Huh?  The sticker only has one value for front/rear.  My manual ends at page 108.  DAMN!!!! I got the defective manual!

I was looking at page 122 of the owner manual that you can download from Ducati's web site.

The numbers in the manual are for riding by yourself, and the numbers on the sticker are for riding with the maximum load.
