Howd'y All

I finally picked up a 620 for the better half, however have to look at lowering it. Anyone know a local supplier of the adjustable link used to wind down the rear suspension? Or know of the measurements of the tie rods center to center or rod length? ( Have the facilities to make one!!!) Was going to let the fork ends up through the triples to compensate for change of steering angle.

Any other info on a 2002 620 IE is appreciated....

The Monster Family grows.......

Thanks in Advance

I don't know of a local supplier (doesn't mean there isn't one) we bought Jukie's from the US. Just over a $100US from memory - but that was some time ago now.

Have a read of Suzy's recent post about raising her 695 ... same principle. Her linkage came from a superbike ... but they may only suit going taller rather than shorter - I don't know.

Do a couple of searches on the board. The FAQs section and Womens local board often cater for the vertically challenged so might be an idea to start there. Sorry gotta go ... good luck.

Assuming your 620 is the same as my 695 (and I'm reasonably sure it is), you just need an adjustable link, like what I used to raise my 695.

The standard link on a 695 is 275mm long.  I bought a link from a 748, which when I pulled it out of the box was ~270mm long, which would have dropped the back by about 15mm.  I could have made it shorter, but only by maybe 5mm more, for a total drop of ~30mm.

Here's one on ebay (from the same seller I bought mine from):

Here's the specific post about what I did in raising my 695:

If the 748 linkage doesn't lower it enough, then you can just make a shorter threaded rod, though one of the threads is annoyingly left-hand.

You can also buy aftermarket shorter rods.
