Is there a difference between 696, m1100, S4RT and 848 brake calipers? they all look alike....

I am trying to find a good deal on Monoblock 1098 calipers to go with my 848 forks but they all seem WAY out of my price range. For the sake of asking, are the 848 and 1098 calipers both 100mm spacing?

the 1098 uses the 330mm and the 848 uses 320mm rotors, so is it the lower fork that is larger, or is it the actually caliper?

Raux

calipers are all the same
the bikes with the 330 rotors use a 5mm spacer on the mounts.

+1 on spacers. 1198 uses the higher spec brembo radial rotors.

He Man

sweet so i can just use the 1098 monoblocks if i can find them and ditch the mounts (if they even come with them), but either or works....

now i play the waiting game.

thanks guys in the mean time i need to source spacers...

not the caliper spacers, im going to keep my 320mm disc w10mm offset. I need the 5mm offset spacers for the Brake disc.

Another question. whats the offset on 848 rotors? can I just get 848 rotors slap them on and forget about spacers?

to my knowledge

Stock S2R1000 rotors have 10mm offset
SBKs have 15mm offset, so a 5mm spacer is needed
both are 6 bolt pattern

looks like 748, 851, 888, 916, 996, 998 were also 10mm offset. spacers are needed unless i swap wheels.

spacers it is then!

Price up some KTM RC8/R or Super Duke Brembo calipers, they are a lot cheaper than what Ducati want.
