I regularly get the eel bowl at our little hole in the wall sushi place. Its yummy.

Never had raw eel though. Is it even served that way? The eel I get is freshwater and pan seared.

I've never seen eel served raw, and I pretty much always get something with eel in/on/near it whenever I eat sushi.

It's deriiiiicious.

Actually Toro is the fatty underbelly of the Tuna. 

Belly Lox is the belly of the Salmon but in a different culinary world.

I made smoked eel sushi once and it was the bomb.
Problem was the eel was like $30/lb  
But I would sure do it again
