thank you!

i have never figure out what my dislike of sushi stems from...

its either the STUPID high price, or the fact that its not char broiled on a grill

It can be a bit overpriced. But, if searched out, lunch would cost no more than a trip to Applebee's (or insert your favorite equivilent). It's generally not something to gorge on if you're starving and on a budget. Also, don't use it as the staple of the meal. Treat it as an appetizer and only have one or two to share between you two. Try this a few times when you go out for Japanese food and you might just find something you like.

The eel (Anago and Unagi) is usually broiled or at least "toasted" with with a heat source.

Several popular nigiri sushi (stuff, or "neta," sitting on top of formed rice) do not involve raw fish. Shrimp (ebi, but not amaebi which is raw or odori ebi which is alive) and crab leg are usually cooked and smoked salmon is popular. Kani (surimi, or "krab stick") is always cooked. There's egg omelet (tamago), fried tofu (inari), and other sushi that isn't even fish, let alone raw. Many rolled (maki) sushi use entirely cooked ingredients.

Sushi is defined by vinegared rice, not by raw fish.

Just saw a review on a DC sushi joint....they serve regular Toro and Extra Fatty Toro.  Its like the sushi fountain of youth with all the Omega 3s going on.

The tape worm is an added bonus! Its a great way to lose weight, and also works wonders for allergy sufferers.
