Removal of misc emisions canisters...

Coming from a newbie, I'm certain this is a well covered topic as none of the beautiful bikes pictured ever seem to have these damn things.

Perhaps my terminology is wrong, but I can't seem to locate the DIY threads. The goofy triangle shaped ones in the front on both sides, the main canister by the shock (I did actually remove that already) and the square(ish) shaped box next to the top shock mount under the seat...

I have a 99 750 if it matters greatly.

search "vent pods" for the little triangle things....  You can pretty much just rip them off.  Prop up the tank and pull the pods.  Move the hoses to somewhere they won't be exposed to wind.  They need unpressurized air to vent your carbs.

Weird, I only know of one of the canisters you are talking about...
The vent pods make sense since you have carburetors and I didn't know your bike had those, you already took off the gas vapor emissions canister which is the only one I know of, so the squarish you are talking about by the shock...I'm clueless as to even what you are referring to!  Do you mean your crankcase breather in the airbox?

Yikes! I better break out the camera. Yeah, its a box next to the upper shock mount/pivot. the crankcase vents into it and then there is a line that goes into the airbox...seems like over kill to me, but I might be wrong.

is it right in front of the regulator/rectifier? sounds like you are talking about the crank case breather (above the shock, and under the seat.)

you can remove it, as long as you put a filter on the outlet from the crank case. but there are mixed reports on this, so proceed with caution.
