84 Kawasaki KDX 80 - Bike i learned to ride on when I was young(er)
84 Kawasaki KDX 200 - First naked bike. crashed so frequently the plastics wouldnt stay on.

I'm thinking about heading out there. Went a couple of years ago and it was fun! One of the guys from TOB volunteered for track duty and came home with a chunk of Stoner's (I think it was his) fairing...

Still a good souvenir. I have always wanted to go to this race but have been forced to chose between WSBK and GP.

I remember that race. I was in the grandstands and Bayliss crashed out right before the main straight. He was got up quick and was dancing between bikes heading down the straight. High drama.

I'll probably go this year. Problem is, all of the SBK races are on Monday. Saturday there's nothing but practice, but there's a cool concert (if you're ancient - Foreigner/ Styx/ Kansas). Sunday, nothing but GT races and Superpole. At $145 for the weekend I think I'm OK with it, but I forsee a lot of "down time". There are some real bargains on hotels in downtown SLC too if you look. Being in LA I'd like 2 days to ride back, which means extra time off from work on Tuesday. I dig riding through Zion though.

Maybe a group ride on Sunday?

While it's cool to go to the races, I prefer to watch them on TV (so I can see riders for more than 3 seconds at a time).

I'm no longer down.
Having lost most of her retirement recently, my Mom is moving in.
I need that weekend to prep the @#$@ing house.
Enjoy!
