Passed 6,300 miles on my '04 M1000S and no light yet- what's up with that?

Got a lot of conflicting info on this- seems like I'll be returning to get it reset after my valve adjust; unless I could reset it myself???

quote from another thread:
I lifted this from another thread about the "Maint" message:
On any Monster* all you do is hold the left hand button on the dash down and then turn on the key. Wait about 15 seconds and the message clears

*Does not include the 696 or 1100, From what I can tell it must be done with Ducati's DDS system.

Thanks, I'll chime back in if it worked on my bike!

On the 848 they had to pull fairings and plug something in. I swear it took an hour.

On my S4R you simply hold the mileage button down and turn the key to start the bike - keep holding the button down for 5 seconds I believe and then turn ignition off.  That's what the local mechanic did here.
