If you change the map on the power commander can you use it on a different model then it was originally ordered for?

Just wonderin'

Yes, within limits.  Part of the design is the mount location which is bike specific and also the bypass circuitry is set up for that bike's EFI sytem.

I.e. you could probably put a M800ie on an S2R800 or even an M900ie on the S2r.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Ah okay, it's still make specific. I was saying like putting, a M1000 on like an Inline 4 or something.

Sounds good, thanks.

probably not since EFI voltages may (and probably do) differ by make.

After looking harder on the PCIII website it says:

Quote
File and Power Commander version incompatible error appears when I try to load a map
This message will appear if you try to load a map from a different make or model than the Power Commander II is connected to. (i.e. attempting to load a Harley map to a Suzuki).

So that pretty much answers that.
