WSBK is no Nascar, but it's still alright.   Wink

Great racing, but it still needs better coverage; more cameras, better broadcast quality, on board cameras maybe.  I have a hard time telling who's who.

I agree, on board cameras!! waytogo I love the MotoGP on board stuff, I just wished they did more. But I don't remember ever seeing any in WSBK. What's up with that?? Anyone know?

Gotta spend money to make money

Unfortunately, it's also true that you have to spend money to lose money.

Seriously, I think it mostly comes down to live editing. WSBK has worse coverage since they aren't spending the money MotoGP is to edit together a live feed on the fly. And more on-board cameras means more feeds to put together and that means more staff.

I'd settle for EU HD cameras, instead of the IZ_ stuff they feed to Speed.....

I was more or less just quoting Chief Wiggum.  It'd be nice if they had the money for onboard cameras of course, though I prefer the closer HD shots they achieve with more cameras on the track instead of shooting them long range at all times.  Owell, one day.

the thing that pisses me off most about WSBK and camera's is the fact that when a crash or a pass happens, you have relatively no viewpoint if it isn't right within THAT posted camera....we miss a wealth of crash carnage and passing footage.

as far as putting camera's on the actual bikes, small pen camera's are becoming cheaper and cheaper and cheaper to make and aquire nowadays, the only thing they'de have to do is aquire the signal band for broadcast...the Flamminni bros. really should look into it seriously.
