go nick!

I'm holding my breath (not literally) for a coupla more races, but it really seems like Nicky is back.  God, I'd love to see two Ducs on the podium.  When was the last time that happened?

Spies is going to find at least a second as the weekend goes on (not counting qualifying when he's on soft tires).

Nicky and Mika?  Casey needs to prove he can finish races consistently after last year and this year's start.

He doesn't crash that much (other than his rookie year on that Honda. Yoikes.  Shocked )  It's just been a bad run--as you said--over the last two races.  I still say that Rossi is all up in his wheelhouse.

and he was still apeshit fast then, too.  pole, first race.  it was just the 2nd half of the year where he was dr. gravel.

Yeah Stoner has never been slow by any stretch of the imagination, and truthfully he's been extremely consistant barring his rookie year.  While I think dumping a bike 3 times when holding a comfortable lead is a bit of a head scratcher, its pretty good considering just about every top rider crashes a couple times a season at some point.  I think the dude's only fault is not knowing when to back off.  Despite his claims of crashing because he slowed down, I've only seen him dump it while trying to set the world on fire by posting stupid fast laps.... eh well if you don't count the warmup debacle at Valencia.

Just watched FP2.  Lorenzo is blazing fast and dropped a bunch of consistant 39's with a 39 flat thrown in.  He's got to be the early favorite to take the victory.  Stoner/Pedro/Rossi all were running consistant low 40's.  Dovi dropped in a good quick lap, but wasn't running quite fast enough consistantly to hang with the "podium 4."   I think we'll be in for a hell of a race.

Rossi seems to be struggling on the back half with the linked rights.  Probably the shoulder giving him some trouble there?

Bring on Qualy!
