Good to see Nicky .3 seconds back instead of 2.3 seconds like last year
iirc, he was consistently ~1s back from stoner last season.

Great race. It was nice to see Hayden finally finished in front of a still racing Stoner. Lorenzo definitely isn't afraid to take a chance and shove his bike into some really tight spots either.

Lorenzo has a career in NASCAR
Can't blame Dani for staying wide, else he was going down the next time Whoregay hit him...
I've seen aggressive racing, but I think this was a bit over the top - maybe one bump/close call, but after the second time they hit it was obvious (to me, fwiw) that Lorenzo was passing too dangerously, imo.

if you think that's over the top, stay far away from watching british superbike.
fwiw, i have no problem with the racing today, especially at the front.

+1
This is the kind of racing we look for imo. I found myself really rooting for pedro on the last few laps. I think he showed some mettle by sticking to his lines and forcing his will on Lorenzo. Ultimately Lorenzo had too much pace, but Dani didn't just lay down like we've seen him do in the past. Another solid result for Nicky, I think he's officially back. I was waiting for Lorenzo to drown in the lake after he found getting out wasn't going to happen
. That was epic.

Uh... the second time Dani lifted up Jorge on purpose. Neither we're giving and inch and Dani was using racecraft to force Jorge wide... It was nothing untoward as evidenced by them shaking hands afterwards.
Fwiw, 15 finishers is pretty weak imo, they need at least 4 more bikes on the grid.
