Hey my rear shock is blown and I'm trying to find a suitable swap, I have a 1999 Monster 900... found a couple 1999 750ss showa shocks on eBay, anybody know if they'll swap in?

there's this:

but yeah, they should be the same, I believe.

Thanks for the link!
My shop was telling me to find a Showa so they can rebuild it if needed, but I'll keep tabs on that one

SS shock will fit, but it's totally wrong for the monster in the spring rate and valving

Hm... My mechanic told me to look for a Showa rear shock because it can be rebuilt, but having done some research I'm not sure they ever came standard on the monster... anybody know? Google'd the heck out of it and couldn't find anything, and all the ebay / craigslist ones that pop up seem to be showa. Might be best to just replace it with a low mileage showa? can't swing $7-800 for a Ohlins...

Any idea if there are other replacements that will work?

find out if the 848 stock showa will work and i'll sell you an extra one i have.
