PM from TOB

Just got a PM from TOB (for those who remember it) and was about to ignore it when something caught my eye.  It said it was from "Ducati Monster Forums".  Can they actually do this?  Isn't there some sort of ownership rights associated with the name?
Most of us vacated that forum because of what it had become.  It seems now that they are trying to get us back by using more tactics that to me aren't quite kosher.

Anyone else seen something like this?

Yep, got an email today from her pleading for me to come back.

You can't trust TOB, she'll take me back allright, then just use and abuse me again.

I got one as well, must admit I did a double take when I saw the Ducati Monster Forums Reference, then I figured
they are desperately trying to get people to visit the site, so why not put your competitors name in there to fool people
in to paying them a visit and getting there counts up.

Remember this is Vertical Scope, they will do anything they can to get people back on there Boards, they are Scum.

I avoid anything to do with Vertical Scope, If someone directs me to one of there sites for a picture or a Story/Article
I add it to my Phishing Filter and the filter won't let me return there, It also reports that back to the Filters maker as
a Phishing site. It may only stop 1 or 2 people for a while, but it's less money for them.

me too. They said they missed me in the title. So I thought Id best go back and have a look for curiosity. Jumped on the forum (in my old name), opened a new thread. Pull down my fly. Urinated. Zipped it back up. And here I am back here telling you all about it. (I must admit I did have some stage fright, but luckily it subsided when I realised no one was there anyway.

I can be had....but not cheaply
