This morning I performed the "kick the left rear turn signal off while mounting the bike" mod  [bang]  I swear I barely touched the thing.  I bonded it back together using some "Mighty Putty"  ;) that my 8 yo bought me after watching the info-mercial.  We'll see how she holds up.....

It's probably the easiest mod you can do.  I modded my 696 about 2 weeks after picking it up but decided to not do it with my 1100.  I decided to go the more difficult route and added rizoma turn signals and tail tidy to prevent the temptation again.

That's the stuff!  Hey, if Optimus Prime can tow an 18 wheeler with the sh@# it ought to be able to hold a plastic turn signal!

Effin green to white technology!

I've watched that 20 times by now, and I laugh every time.

BTW, nothing will hold those turn signals on.  Ducati stock signals are cursed, or maybe the legs of Ducati riders with stock signals are cursed.  I broke one of mine a week after I bought it.  A friend broke off his a month into owning it, and then I broke off his replacement a month later.  Effin new to broken technology!

Just thought o would bump this. I just did this mod on my month old 696. It's temporarily fixed with gorilla glue and black electrical tape.

Just ordered an integrated rear taillight and am thinking about buying the competition werkes tidy tail since it looks like the only one that would be decent without stand alone signals. Any input here?

What are you effen saying? You didn't buy the triple offer Mighty Putty? What is effen wrong with you? Optimus effen Prime will effen come to your effen house and ram his effen Transformers foot up your effen arse.

By the way, never replace the stock signals with the same stock crap. It will happen over and over. The DP signals are much better but much more expensive option.

I bought the CW tail tidy and the CW smoke integrated tail light (I also had performed this mod to BOTH of my turn signals previously). It looks super clean since you don't have to add the mounts for the turn signals.  [thumbsup]
