stop trying to find something on craigslist. it's a waste of time, because you could miss a good listing close to you. the site i use is a craigslist search engine. it's how i found my m900 in st. louis and i live in the louisville ky area. drove 5 hrs. 95 m900 for $1450. w/ 41 keihins  Grin

the site is www.craiglook.com .

you can either search 250 miles radius from your zip code, or type what your looking for on the main page and not put a zip code in, and it'll search the entire U.S.

lwszabo. what do you want? i know you mentioned something DSS and price range, but you might need to narrow that down a lot.

carbs or FI
dry or wet clutch
single or dual spark head.

i don't want to sound like your mother, but you can't just rush into this. it took my about 4-5 months to find what i wanted.

If you're willing to get the bike shipped Beverly Hills Ducati has both a M900 DSS and a M1000DS DSS for sale. They are both in great condition. I live in SoCal and frequent the shop, and have tested both. Just a thought.

oh come on, stop trying to get someone to buy that m1000 from bh ducati, i'm waiting for them to drop the price more on that with nobody buying it so that when i go out to cali in july or august i can then buy it.
seriously.. i'm considering a lot that is one bike that i want to get but can't justify it at the price+shipping right now...

This bike seems to be THE deal.  I would jump all over this one if you are actually serious about it.  It's not far from you either.

I will be honest about the M1000 I was going to buy. Its at Atlanta BMW / Ducati, its red, its perfect, and has tons of Mods....they still have it!!!

I am assuming this one -> http://www.bmwmcoa.com/bikedetail.php?pid=469

got a few mods, but I personally wouldn't charachterize it as having tons of mods...

It got riser, DP seat, PCIII, Exhaust, Pressure plate, Clutch cover, stainless springs / caps, bar ends so no not tons but I think its a steal. I just had to have dark. If it had the Termi kit I would of done it no questions asked.  I think for me I got the perfect deal...MY bike!!!
