...and torqued them down onto my 51mm section on my 999 forks, and they stretched just fine. .

But will they fit the 54mm section of my GSXR1000 forks?Huh?

the 50mm ones won't, but CNC in italy does sell a 54mm version Wink so you're in luck Grin

PICS to come soon, I promise. I'm washing the bike soon, and taking a bunch of pics to show off the fork swap and everything.

Hey Airborne,

I was wondering if that was a forum member who ordered those... and since it was, you will be getting 10% back via partial refund in just a moment as your forum member discount.  Wink

In the future though, just send me a quick message in the payment notes or via PM so I'll know to hook you up!

Thanks and I'll send you a tracking number as they ship out.

are there any pics out there of the before/after or install of the u-bracket replacement clamps (listed as "fork collars" on bellissimoto)?  i'm just trying to visualize how it works exactly to replace the u-bracket.  this can be used with stock triples, right?  i'm interested in getting rid of the U-bracket if it just costs $75, but not so much replacing the triples ($725)

there are two rings that clamp around each fork.
in each ring, there is a recess that you stick a small spacer (included) into, and then your stock headlight ears/tabs bolt into those. then you just bolt your headlight on as normal.

the only kink i hit was what to do about the part of the u-bracket that holds the brake lines in place. on a stock setup, might not be a huge deal. but with my newly added clipons, i have a lot of extra brake line, and was in need of the hold-downs. luckily i had an extra u-bracket, so i just hacked off everything above the bottom part that bolts over the brake lines, sanded & painted, and bingo.

as stated, pics to come...

did you use them to lower the headlight? I'd imagine that'll work for it right? Pretty much the reason I ordered them.

yup. you can lower it clear down to the bottom triple clamp.
i had it bottomed out all the way down low... looked a bit silly that low... so i moved it up a bit.
be patient with the install, it's a bit of a PITA because the brackets are connected to each other in any way, so you'll have to measure and test fit stuff to get it all lined up properly... but the end result is well worth the patience.

Headlight brackets. Totally eliminating stupid factory u-bracket setup...
http://www.cncracing.it/it/content/collari-reggi-faro

They are 50mm... i'm **hoping** they'll fit the 51mm section on my 999 forks. If not... they'll be for sale.

I don't like the look of the brake lines flapping in the breeze.
