Great local ride today!!

I decided to head out exploring today.
If I want to get out locally I usually just ride Sunset to the PCH then through Topenga Canyon and back. I decided, today, that I would try some different roads. I road up the PCH to Malibu Canyon Road, made a right on Piuma Road and then a right on Las Flores Canyon Road. An amazing local ride!

Great ride if you live in LA and want something different. And if you haven't been there before. It was a Wednesday afternoon and the only traffic was on Malibu Canyon.

So, you finally discovered Piuma? One of my faves.  [moto]

  I'll hit Piuma to Scheuren (just before Las Flores) and instead of turning left onto Stunt at the Lookout, I'll head straight onto Saddle Peak. It has open sightlines and lovely smooth pavement. 
  At the end of SP, you can go left on Fernwood down to Topanga Cyn, or right onto Tuna Cyn. Tuna turns into one way, so you don't have to worry about oncoming traffic.   

Last Friday, orangelion03 and I did this route turning left onto Fernwood Pacific.  Left on Topanga, Left onto Old Topanga.  I live in Moorpark, so we took Mulholland to Valley Circle and then hit Woolsey Cyn up past Boeing/Rocketdyne and then Black Cyn down into Simi Valley.  Black Cyn is gnarly!  Tight hairpins, big dropoffs with no guardrails, epic views!

Dunno, I guess I just assumed that you wouldn't want to come all the way down here. I told Robert I would be willing to do that run next Friday. I'm a little tied up this weekend.

Believe it or not, I can make it to Mulholland/Malibu Canyon in 20 minutes from here... 



Yeah, this weekend is out for me too... Robert as well.   Next friday sounds good, though.

Yeah, for sure Miles. I'm thinking Tuesday or Wednesday for sure. Bacon and Orangelion03 say there's almost no traffic on Fridays so perhaps then as well?
