DFW area of Texas.

I'm going to be honest. I checked it out, and it looks like it's in decent shape for an early 80's VW, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to bet on it for a long drive back to the west coast. Mostly due to the fact that it's an early 90's volkswagen  [laugh]

it's gotta be around an 82, with 97k on the odometer. Body is pretty clean, interior looks like you'd expect. I popped the hood and the engine looked okay....no real bad signs. Looks like it's been a daily driver it's entire life...no garage queen for sure. I'll get the number on the window next time I go into town, and give the dude a call.

don't worry about it. it's too far for me to pick up right now

I kInda figured it was too far but since you were talking about importing from canada i thought i would throw it out there. Im sure there has to be plenty of small hatchbacks out there in CA. But what ever you get, make sure it has some soul!  8)

Growing up outside of Dallas until I was 15, I couldn't imagine why anyone would live anywhere else. About a week after my family moved to Portland Oregon, I looked around at the mountains, trout streams, ocean beaches and more and wondered "what the hell was THAT all about?"

This is why I encourage people to move around a bit.

There's a big world out there.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
