So I bought an 05 S4R (from Desmoquattro...real standup guy, great throughout the whole process!) and it needs to be shipped across the country-San Fran to Queensbury, NY so I looked up a bunch of shipping companies online.  I went with Haul Bikes because they were the cheapest at about $500 and they insure the whole bike and said it would take 5 weeks total.  I'm now approaching week 4 and they haven't even picked the bike up yet!  The people on the phone are rude and don't have any interest in helping me at all and will give me absolutely no estimated time of delivery.  DO NOT use this company!  Anyone know any other reasonably priced companies that don't take months to ship? I could use the help.

OR does anyone know anyone in the Bay area that is moving a pickup truck across the country by chance?! I'll drive the truck for them if they want to fly and pay the gas, haha.  That's a stretch buy I'm out of ideas.

Thanks!
OK, how do I ride this thing?

pm SHADOWCHASER on here.

I met up with him a year ago in OK City and he was working for a dealership, not shipping anymore. Worth a try though.

If you don't find anyone on the board, try looking at uship.com.

Uship is the way to go. Used it a number of times-always a good experience so far.

Also, nice bike he has. Put your earplugs in before you start it!
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I've used Federal Motorcycle Transport (part of Allied Shipping). They did a good job.

i used haul bikes from la to va, and it worked out perfectly on time.

though i did tell them i needed it picked up by a certain date or else i was using someone else and they came through, and they were able to get it picked up fast and delivered in 3 weeks.

i also used jc motorcycle shippers.  they 1 time did a good job on time and picked up fast but another time they were delayed for about 2 weeks and wasn't on time, it was the 5% that was not on time that was me that time.

1KDS

I had a motor, frame and tub of parts shipped via forward air, they ship a lot of bikes and are worth a look.
Every bike I've ever owned.

Another endorsement for Federal transport. I have used them a number of times to ship dirt bikes from NC to CO. They give you a 10 day window for pickup and delivery. It has been very painless with lot's of phone support

Thanks Zaine! Appreciate your patience all throughout the process, and the pic of the bike in Dorset! Glad you're enjoying the machine.
