Steering damper for new Monsters?

Do the owners of the new Monsters (1100/796/696) feel that a steering damper is necessary?

I want one, but the ducati one is too pricey right now. I get a little wiggle at highway speed when I hit a bump. It feels that the wrong bump at high speeds
could
create a death wobble. Also if the front end comes up unexpectledly. It just feels a bit loosey goosey. I feel that I am keeping a tighter grip on the bars at speeds above 80mph. I am not a super experienced rider, but my grip at those speeds is not normal. I am sure that a more skilled rider would have no problem with stock, but the damper can help add a little margin for error with over/under steer, and ubrupt movements in the steering
I think there is 0 downside to a damper since it helps at low speed cornering too.
Just my 2ยข
ETA: I am a 150lbs guy. I am light and so is the bike.

I just bought one of these
http://www.bellissimoto.com/BituboDampers.html
and it shows 696/1100 in the picture. Call him, he made me a great deal and I can't believe the difference.

It will be great to hear more FHE on various steering dampers available for new Monsters.
How long will steering damper last? are they rebuildable? Which one performs best?
Muskrat, can you post pictures of your steering damper installed, especially side views.
TIA

it's obviously for an S4R but the bracket is the only change that I see from the pics. I sincerely believe it's the best money I've spent and I'm not a 130 mph rider either.

GPR was doing it before most. Looks like it would really block my cluster on the 1100, especially with my Jesse riser. Thoughts on fit/performance.

I've been saying this for years,
The three best mods I've ever made to any of my Ducati's has been:
Bar End Mirrors,
Steering Damper,
Slipper Clutch.
They all make the bike safer, and the safer the bike is, the faster you can ride it.
