the "victim" looks like my partner from my EMT class years back. unfortunately, we had to use the "Annie" dolls to practice CPR. But we did get to practice the head to toe assessment on each other...  The instructor set up the class intentionally so that men/women would have to get used to touching strangers in a clinical way.

on a serious note, these days they are talking about doing away with the rescue breathing, and concentrating just on compressions (if they have not already made the change.)

I liked 'em anyway.  Probably wouldn't want to do real compressions on a person with a normal heart rhythm.

I had a response all ready to post yesterday, and then hit the wrong key and it all disappeared.

We still teach breathing.  If someone teaches CPR without the 2 breaths then the student is not certified.

I tell my students that we want to do the most we can for someone, not the least.

AHA is pushing compression only because they think that people are to grossed out to give the breaths.
A family member is the one to start CPR most times.  I believe that most would do anything in their power to help a loved one.

The American Heart Association still specifies respirations for CPR for their cert.  I know some fire departments are getting away from that and citing better results for first responders.  I don't know what certification they'd work under. 

At any rate, the mouth to mouth demonstartion is essential to the video - wouldn't have been the same without it or if they'd used an ambu bag.  They should get another, equally hot, underwear model and do a video demonstrating two person CPR.
