Feeling a bit nostalgic tonight. Found a couple of old DIOC (Ducati International Owners Club) ball caps in a box in the attic. Yeah, they looked a little gnarly. The sewed on emblems still looked great! Just curios if any current DMF folks go back that far. I had a couple of friends who had 1978 Ducs (900SS and a Darmah) who turned me onto that club. My bike then was a 1977 900SS (Berliner Import with the jackshaft shift assembly to comply with new left hand shift law) that I still have but now lives in boxes! bang head DIOC used to be run by a guy out of Florida (circa early 1980s) and I'd get newsletters probably printed from the first desktop printing device. My best "almost score" out of the classifieds was a 1974 750SS in Arkansas! I was the second caller and the first guy (an hour before me!!!) landed the deal. Damn bike is probably worth $80K right now!!!!! Great old stuff and got me knee deep in Ducatis. I have no freaking idea where the old newsletters went but at least I still have the ball caps... and one old ratty sweat shirt. Grin

Any old DIOC folks out there chime in with your stories. I'd love to hear them! applause
