Cool  I will keep an eye out. That is  NICE bike. I just picked mine up on fri...06 red s2r 800. To cyrus...just trying to core the exhaust until I can afford an aftermarket...thanks for the offer though.

Nice ride  [thumbsup]

replacing that god awful udder will probably open your sound up nicely.

I should have a header for you in 1-2 months off my 2004 S4r (it will fit your bike) as I am getting some work done and need pipes will most likely need to be fabricated to work with what is being done.

Deal! Yea i love this bike man. Put 500 miles on it since fri. With replacin gthe udder...wont you lose some midrange due to loss of back pressure? Would you also have to reprogram the ecu to adjust for it being to lean? Yea I will have to post in desmohio soon...

Yeah, if you replace the midpipe you will give more outflow, so yes.....it will make the bike leaner.

Also, if you put new cans on.......it will due the same thing.

I'd wait to do them both at the same time and then get yourself a PCIII

and then take your bike up to JD Hord (www.hordpower.com). He is located in Bucyrus, an hour north on 23.

He has a dyno in his garage (he is an indy mechanic that is damn make the beast with two backsing good. When Larry Pegram needed help punching out a 749 motor to the 848.........he took it to JD as he has done it many times before) and his labor rate is 40$ an hour.

I recommend all your service be done by JD. A bunch of us use him and he is a cool guy to boot. He is a former battle of the twins champion; he raced night hawks after he got sick of being a commodities broker in Chicago.......

He does all the major service on my bikes and I couldn't be more pleased with his shop rates and most importantly........the quality of work. He won't fix anything that doesn't need to be fixed.

He also bills to the 1/4 hour, which is nice.

Just beware that he tunes bikes on his dyno like a race bike...........it will suck fuel like a mofo.

J.D. is just an hour N. on 23 ???

At what speed are you calculating that and from where ?

How far ahead would you guess he is this time of year ?

He's calculating it from Dublin or North C-bus.  Takes me about an hour flat to get there from Westerville.

+1 on Hord.  I am so glad CB filled me in on him.  Does awesome work for way cheap.  I would not go to Motohio, they always seem to suck everytime I go there.

Just throwing in my 2 cents for Hordpower.  Just had my 15,000 valve adjustment/belt change done by him for less than $400.  Cool guy, knows his stuff, and will actually give you some tips for simple fixes to try before brining it in...just wish his shop was closer!  As far as Motohio...they've made some changes recently that have improved my perception of their service, and their mechanics are good guys, but still too much $$$...they do seem to have decent stock of parts, though.

Yeah, I am calculating it from where I live.

I pretty much just take Riverside Drive up to 42, in to Delaware and hop on 23.

Takes about an hour.

JD does rock.

I email him from time to time when I am working on my bike and have a question or notice something different. He always gives me advice on it. It's a DMF Tech Board, but an actual shop. I would compare him to how DucStew has helped me out. A LOT!!!!

Once my S4r gets put back together, it is going up to JD's for Dyno time.

I already had him install a PCIII and a custom map (I think with the PCIII, my bill was less than 425$. His Dyno rate is still 40$ an hour for an independent cylinder map) on that bike, but once I get it back from getting the new engine cases, blueprinted cams, and switching to pod filters and ridding the air box.........it's gonna need a map again.

JD gets the business on that! He'll also get my M750 for belts and valves too.

I'd email him and see how busy he is right now and wait time. He is very easy to work with on drop off and delivery.

Tell him Jud sent you.

No, I don't get any kickbacks or discounts, he just likes to know when a happy customer refers a new one to him. I think he keeps track so he can not have to advertise.

We've had some long talks about his business and why he doesn't advertise and what not. He basically says he has no need because word of mouth of his work is all it takes to get a new customer in his shop.

Man I will have to look this guy up in the future!!..thanks guys. I went to motohio this past wknd and have to say my experience was pretty good. The head mech took the time to explain alot of the intracacies of the bike and write out a page of instructions on how to manually mess with the ecu as far as warning lights and such. Only problem...160 for fluids change/flush..ouch. We will all have to hook up for a ride one of these days....

I'm down whenever.

Hit me up on PM for my cell.

Also, if you're in to Disc Golf I go a lot.  Nice courses in Cbus.
