I don't know man. The article discusses the proximity to downtown, but I don't know where they could fit it in the city  [laugh]

All I know is that I have several places in Austin I can stay over a weekend (BOL, inlaws, etc.), and I am already planning ahead for 2012  [evil]

How much do you think tickets will go for?

Porsche Monkey

I have no idea what the tickets will cost. I'm sure I could wrangle up a place to stay. If not, home is an hour and a half away.

did they ever build on the old airport property? That'd be a good spot. Just watch out for stray bullets from I-35 ;D

They should route it on the lower deck of 35, the sound would be absolutely fantastic!
Did I ever tell you the story about the Zen master and the little boy?

That's the home of the world's shortest entry ramps! [bang] I lived in Austin in the 70s when they built that I-35 double decker through downtown. My driveway is longer than those ramps and they're blind, you can't see the traffic flow to your left. You are just dumped immediately in the right lane with highway speed traffic running right up your ass! You need a F1 car so you can get up to speed fast!! [laugh]

Still cool this is coming to Austin. [clap] They got everything needed to support the race and the fans. Hope they pull this off successfully. [thumbsup]

not only this but there are some awesome routes just outside Austin like Bandera...........come all and we'll reserve an entire hotel and then ride like a pack of 1%'ers.  [thumbsup]

Yeah it totally sucks that Bandera is a whole 30 minutes from my driveway.   ;D

Ever been on a Parkway in Long Island?  The ramps are frighteningly short and half of them end up directly into residential neighborhoods.

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.
