Try accelerating with a moving truck & car hauler onto the highway from the ramps in Amarillo!

I did enjoy the u-turns though under the overpasses in TX! [evil]

At first, I thought they were useless but after moving back to AZ and having to wait for long lights to turn around.  :P
TX has it right!

We've seriously thought about moving back to Austin these last few weeks and now with F1 coming into the picture..

I didn't think that place could get any better!!   [thumbsup]

I really hope this happens, but I'm just a bit sceptical that they can put this in place in 2 years, when they have not even purchased the land yet.

If it's privately funded, then it shouldn't be too terribly hard to do, see Barber in Birmingham, AL.

where you at, man?

Anyways, my wife was talking to the in-laws last night, and I got her to ask her dad (they live in the austin area). From what he said they are building somewhere over near the airport. He also said something about the city wanting the state to put up part of the money for the construction? He said they mentioned something about that on the news a couple nights ago.

Anyways....by the airport is good with me. We can go visit the inlaws, and I can be at the track on race day without driving all the way through the city  [thumbsup]

Hope you get out of there and to some place better. Don't come here to Dallas. I'm a native and have earned the right to say this place can suck. There are days it should be nuked from orbit! [bang] The hill country is pretty damn cool... what's left of it. When Austin grew into the small TX version of silicon valley all that money came with it (and the people) and they just started paving over the hills. Used to sit on top of Mount Bonnell in the 70s and all you could see was Lake Austin and tree covered hills. Well... at least the Lake is still there, they couldn't pave that over. :P
