"To achieve this weight, NCR designed and developed its own carbon fiber frame while improving the air intake system by allowing an unobstructed flow of air through the steering head."
Didn't Shervin do that already?

Shervin is the answer to building the ultimate Kawasaki, NCR is the answer to building the ultimate Ducati

I would also imagine that the entire staff of ncr has less body hair than shervin

if only it could be like the new Beemer, in price that is.
never thought I'd say that one.
I do love me some Ducati and am brand loyal (seriously all my shirts and shit too) but I have yet to see my need for an exotic bike with on par performance with most off the lot bikes. I hope this baby screams and eats children. Can't wait.
the above said, if I had 50K plus I'd be looking for a Cedici. I get hard hearing it run.

I am frightened why you're imagining this.

Take one Ducati Desmosedici RR, replace the fairing, tank, frame, swingarm, subframe, tailpiece, fender and wheels (and paddock stand!) with extra lightweight, extra swoopy carbon fiber and you're only about half way to creating the NCR Millona 16. The bike is also upgraded with SBK-spec Ohlins FGR000 forks, ceramic brake discs, a full titanium in-seat exhaust system, a lightened gearbox and full on-board telemetry (including suspension), traction control and programmable engine maps. The end result? Dry weight is reduced by 71lbs to 319lbs (145kg), power is up over 200hp at the back wheel. Also gone is the Desmosedici's ugly, replaced instead with purpose and mechanical function. If you have to ask (and you do have to ask, price on request) you can't afford it.

They claim 316, which is over 100 lbs lighter than a stock bike... crazy.. the real D16 is on the scales is about 440 and makes between 160 and 170 at the tire... have dyno'd 5 of them.
Nice bike for the size five shoe mafia.. tragic that a CBR1000 will smoke it on pretty much any track in the US, and crush it on the street, but thats NOT what its about... Its about riding a real motoGP bike, and 5 years ago, that WAS a motogp bike, so in that regard, its amazing...
The NCR bike may well be the ultimate, ultimate bike. Just because you (me too) cant afford it doesnt mean that it isnt worth the time and materials they put into it. They are among the best in the world at building and tuning, and look around, their stuff rocks!
+1
...and the pictures of it are fekkin' awesome!!!
and to everyone saying a 1098R, CBR1000, etc will beat it on the street...of course it will, the D16 is a race bike. It was never intended to be ridden on the street! Like Retro said above...it's also 5 years behind the bikes it's being compared to on the track.
