Taking a step back..

Approx. 80,000 miles combined on the 620 and 1100

1 nail per 8,000 miles..that's not too bad.  The 620 has been to just about every corning of the US and the 1100 will soon be crated up for a new..possibly foreign..destination.

I've stepped two nails in my life.  One..when I was about 9.  The nail came up through the shoe and between my toes.   

The other one..not so lucky!
