Whoa.  And for my next trick, lubing & wiping a chain on the stand with the motor running (I've considered this).  Hope all's OK man.

I felt that way at one time.  I was sure that I was to smart to ever do that.  So yeah it was definitely user error.  No offense taken, I just think that my covers painted black and on the bike look great.

When I was building bicycle frames, I saw a picture on the internet of someone who'd chopped the end of his finger off while cleaning his chain.  So when making decals, I came up with the following:

The text reads "keepum fingers outta doze ouch hurty bits".  I think maybe the OP needs a sticker like that near his open belts.

I'm thinking that if you don't intuitively know and understand this, all the stickers in the world won't help.  Natural selection needs some room to work.   ;D

Yeah, agreed.  Put a sticker on it that says "NO ITS FINE STICK YOUR FINGERS HERE, NO PROBLEMO!"

seriously.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Then clearly you have not acknowledged,,, made the acquaintance of,,, or been helped by your "inner-idiot" .........................yet

We all have one....they are watching us constantly looking for the opportunity to jump in and help us out,

and he will strike with lightning speed when we aren't looking, thinking or when our guard otherwise is down

maybe you won't mangle your digits in an open belt drive...

but trust me your inner-idiot will find something special for you to deal with

so that you will stop ignoring him    ;)

He Man

It may come, but it wont come in the form of me sticking my finger into a spinning gear. thats along the lines of playing wiht a match next to big truck is pumping gas into the main tank.

perhaps not a gear...but never say never...the inner-idiot has a lifetime of patience and will strike with horrifying speed and precision when your guards is down.....

he can make a whole feast of disaster from the merest crumb of oversight
