Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Stupid cell mics and cement walls - half of all you can hear is the clutch echo.
Interesting set up for the dummy lights.

Interesting set up for the dummy lights.
Neutral on the right. Then turn signals, oil pressure, and charging system on the left.
I'm thinking about the low fuel light too, but I never had a working one on the Monster...

She's already looking forward to her ritual photo on the bike!

Just finished my 1st race, a half-marathon in Alexandria. Now it's time to recuperate in the pool.

thanks zoom. I came in @1:54 and I'm really happy with the time considering I couldn't train for 4 weeks due to tight calf/achilles. Next time I'll be wiser and won't make the same mistake of running 25 miles one week and 38 miles the next week.
I'm doing about a 1/2 veggie limp, but I'll keep moving so I can have a smooth recovery. Do you have any upcoming races?

well...today was a marker of improvement over a year, as I started running just over a year ago. I did my 1st 5K race in 32:58, and I just completed the same race 1 year later in an unofficial time of 24:35 ( according to my Garmin, since I didn't look at the results board and they aren't online yet)...Wahoo to a new PR for both race and fastest recorded pace for myself. Now to work on distance for that kind of pace or something silly like that. Half Marathon training mode coming back on soon!...as far as next race...probably do the Rockville Twilighter 8K and am signed up to do the Rock N Roll Half Marathon in Philly in September....other than that, my "race schedule" is more or less wide open!
