I've got an addition to that loop that I'd like to try, and it will probably add another 75 miles or so.  I think it would be doable in a single day, but in the midst of the summer, when the days are at their longest.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Or maybe, just maybe, show up and depart at the appointed hour... Grin

Did the Norton rally this weekend. It was at Seneca Rocks at a campground called Yokums (spelled something like that).

The roads around there are awesome and not a lot of traffic (at least in Sept). I think I was just north of that loop you posted Ben. I say next year do a weekend thing - a bunch of us ride out there, ride around, get a hotel, get up, ride around, ride back.

Yep, we were really close to Seneca Rocks.  Would have swung up to see you if we had known you were there.

And I forgot to mention - drove *under* a semi on Friday. Some idjit decided to take his 18 wheeler on a super tight road with a "No trucks" sign and got stuck in a downhill switchback, blocking the whole thing. Luckily by hugging the gas tank it was possible to sneak underneath thanks to the road dropping away. Cop on the other sire though it was hilarious.

Were you there yesterday (Sunday)? Would've missed me I'll guess - I hit the road for home around 10am. Lemme know when you're heading that way again.

Oh dear - what's the butchers bill Massimo?

Today I wrestled a street tire off a rim with only hand tools... jebus that's a chore. And found that instead of rim strips the PO had used duct tape to cover over the spoke nipples. Which I now get to clean off as part of the making it tubeless. It'll be worth it in the end, but more effort than I'd hoped for now.

Went to install new bushings on my forks and found that motorcycle-superstore has the wrong info and the bushings were too small a diameter. And irritated that one fork is making a lot of spring rubbing noise for some reason I can't figure.

And stuck some sticker on - tried my hand at the wet method for the first time. Went quite well.

Broken headlight, front brake pee cup and left mirror. Some rash on the top triple and bent the subframe cover. Some bruises and rash on me and my gear, that's pretty much it.

Grabbed too much front brake in a panic situation.  bang head bang head bang head

Words of advice: Don't do that again.

Glad to hear your OK except for your pride. So what exactly are the zipties holding together? It looks like they're holding the tank on, but not tightened sufficiently to do so effectively.

No F***ing S**t! bang head

Zipties held the tank enough to get back home, it jumped out of its mounts when the bike flipped.

Fortunately this all happened at low speed, Bianca had a pretty soft landing (on me), and I'm OK. waytogo

I was wondering how you got rash on the top triple - that explains that.
