Pulled the two bikes out of the garage before this season starts...Over the winter they got a little refresh, white plates and new numbers for 2014.

2013 ZX6R: A Bike
-Got a new GP 25mm Cart kit in the front with .95  and 1.0 springs
-Refresh of the Ohlins rear shock
-Inspected all the bearings, regreased and re torqued.  (Note to riders....Kawasaki had hardly any grease on the triple bearings.  If you have the ability, please check yours)
-Changed the slip on from a FMF Apex to a Werkes USA shorty pipe.
-Still need to get it on the dyno to tune it for MR12

2007 CBR 600RR: B B ike and Rain Bike..this bike is so easy to ride!
-Refreshed the Ohlins TTX shocks and front forks
-Checked and regreased the swingarm and triple bearings
-New windscreen and used PSR case covers

Actually started working on the neglected race bike (800SS). Basically just some cleaning and removed a bunch of crash damaged stuff in prep for new fairing stay, rearsets, bodywork and mufflers. Now I either learn how to adjust the valves or take it somewhere.

Only 5 rounds this year with WERA and only 1 SP round Angry.  Are you gonna be ready for 5/10-5/11?  There is also the Ducati days at VIR on 4/21-4/22 with Cornerspeed.

While I hope to be ready for May, I'll be out of town that weekend. The Cornerspeed thing might be good as a warm-up, but I'll look to do a Summit day first, since it's closer. There's a also an AHRMA race at Road America a friend is involved with that I want to go to in June; while they're mostly vintage they do have a few modern twins classes.

I might have to actually get a CCS license to be able to race before August. WTF WERA?

Valves on that 800 should be easy. Git with it

And for me today... mildly regretting my grand notion of hill sprints pushing an extra 50 pounds

Just got the shim kit and some tools from EMS. Figured for the price of bringing it somewhere once I could just destroy the motor, I mean be able to do it myself.

Ben, I'm afraid the Sport Classics use 7mm shims and my 800 and 900 use 8mm, but if you get the 7mm shim kit we can ruin the motors together. Wink

Were you driving or riding?
