Were you driving or riding?

Riding. Solo. I was on the R1.

Got a new toy: 2008 WR250X

Wasn't sure if I wanted a bicycle or a motorcycle, I figured this pretty much splits it in the middle.  [laugh]
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

17" front and back.

The thing is so light and flickable, it's ridiculous! When I need to move it around the garage I lean it against my right hip, grab the muffler and lift.  [laugh]

So I guess that means you can ride it on bike paths and lanes!  ;D

Went through a LOT of ammo today.
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Got my fancy new helmet in the mail.

It's a really well built bike - quality is better than expected (I will blame Piaggio :)). I like the side-mounted radiator - keep Austin Guzzi Weird.

When riding, it feels a lot lighter than it is. Brakes are great and motor has really good torque. It has the same lean fueling issues that my S2R had, but it's curable on the Guzzi - free software in fact (although free as in free-beer, not open source free)

Nice touches: stainless brake lines from the factory and the brake and shifter ends are on eccentrics so there's a little adjustability there. Levers are generic, but I guess they want Pazzo to make some money :)  Only real annoyance are the warning stickers on the tank - but I guess all bikes come with these, but still - a pain to get off.

Definitely needs a windscreen or even a small flyscreen above 80 because of the wide bars. I can't believe the new Monster 1200 doesn't have *something* as it's making even more HP and at 50 lbs less.

Congrats on the purchase. The Griso has always been a great looking bike and one I'd like to have alongside my Multistrada.
