I got to spend 20 minutes in my underwear getting poured on while I kept clearing a drain in my back stairwell. I went downstairs just in time to see the water start coming in the back door. I got the Guzzi swingarm off the floor just in time.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Lightweight.  I just did around 40 miles on a bike, and it took about an hour  ;D

Woke up to go to the office, hopped on the bike and started it up. Oil pressure light is glaring at me. Got off, stripped out of leathers, drove the truck to work all pissed off (I have a VW in the driveway waiting for my lazy ass to put the new motor in, also without oil pressure).

Got about halfway there when I remembered it rained last night and that it was certainly just a wet oil pressure sender. Friggin spaghetti electronics.

Then I just was mad I had missed a chance to ride the bike.

EDIT: Oh yeah, did 45 miles on the skinny tired bike this weekend and my legs are whipped too.

Oh hell, if there are vw folks around here I probably know a few of them (and possibly puked in their backyard, hit on their girlfriend, or both in my younger years).

'90 Golf, still has the original 1.8 in it right now, have a complete low mileage ABA swap I picked up for $free.99 waiting to go in. Not hard work, just been up to about a million things lately and haven't had time.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

I have a '94 Golf Mk3 that keeps my mechanical skills sharp. Yet both my wife and I love that car and don't want to let it die!

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

Mine is a mystery mileage motor (an A2 with a broken odo?? WEIRD!!) that up to a month ago was absolutely bulletproof. It has been down to Deals Gap twice and absolutely stomped on. I'm sure the oil pressure issue is something minor, but I'm almost glad it happened to motivate to finally get around to the motor swap.
