I've got the tools to do it, it's just too much of a pain in the ass.  After pulling off the chin fairing outers (battery box is inside) I realized that every piece of electrical wiring is routed around the box, and would have to have the tie downs cut off to actually get the battery out.  I was going to bring the battery itself into the flat so I could hook it up to the tender, but no love there.

I guess I'll be on the SC, as it still starts.   [laugh]

Artful

ECU came back in today from Houston Superbikes. Now let's see if I was one of the "starts no problem" guys or one of the "had to send it back twice and eventually they sent me a new ECU" guys.

Also need a VDSTS cable to reset the TPS, anyone? bergdoerfer has one but it would be handy if I could pick it up from someone tomorrow. 59M/5AM model.

That just sounds like a complete pain in the ass...
Every time I meet a new group of your friends that understand you and your weird sense of humor I'm a little more amazed that there are other people in the world like you that lived through childhood - My loving girlfriend

lol  Yea, ok.  Problem is, it won't start now, and I would still have to do all the dis-assembly just to wire the damn tender up.  Need to bump start it I guess...

Of being hard to get the battery out?  Maybe.  The key would be to make sure they install a tender before you take delivery of it.  ;)
