You mean I'm supposed to be able to turn?!?

Hopefully I learn something about that when I hit total control on April 3...

Did the shakedown work on the Trail Tech today. Calibrated the speedo within 1% of a GPS system. Firmed up the indicator light attachment points and adjusted the safe temp lights.

Love the way it looks and works. Nice to have that one off my plate. Now of course the Golf decides it needs a starter. Never ends.

Technically last night - put in my adjusted shims and sealed up the valve covers, refit the airbox, got everything lined up for my new belts, punched out my old chain and riveted up the new.

Hopefully I learn something about that when I hit total control on April 3...

Thanks.  Going to take a look at this.

They also teach MSF's ERC (experience rider course) at NOVA community college in Shirlington. $90 bucks. It did me a world of good to attend.

They were nice, but not as impressive as that other thing...

Ahh got my new belts on. For anyone who hasn't done this before, I recommend gloves when wrestling the vertical cyl cam. You have to wrestle it half way into the helper springs which takes at bit of effort. Combine that with the sharpish edges of the pulley and the devilish tendency to shoot past the alignment mark if you look at it funny and you get beat up fingers fast.
