They're the investment bankers in Nigeria, right?
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Philistines! [cheeky]

This might be stretching things tho, the setup I need is quite a bit more expensive than their "normal" model. We'll see. :-\
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

Had an hour to kill so I test rode a BMW F800R.

Nice smooth power delivery and excellent build quality as expected: glacial turn in, too upright, and too tight in the cockpit also as expected. I was definitely happy getting back on the Duc afterwards.

Now... If I test ride a Street Triple...

The forks are raked out a touch further than the Monster, the whole package is heavier, and the steering damper in my opinion is set a bit stiff. Basically on the 695 I just wink in the direction I want to go and it goes. On the F800R it was a much more conscious effort to initiate a turn. Maybe I'm just spoiled kicking around such a tiny bike.

Haven't ridden a new Monster but the whole fit was considerably tighter than my '07. It could have been fixed a bit with clip-ons, but the tops of the triples just seemed extremely close.

Overall I 'liked' the bike, but nothing about it excited me. Except the seat, that was super comfortable. The hard edges let me know right where I was on it when I hung off an ass cheek through some of the tighter stuff. Railing on a demo bike is exciting and scary as shit at the same time.

If you wanna try out some Triumphs, this weekend is a good time to do it:

Triumph demo day at Clinton Cycles.  I'm really considering going down to test out a Street Triple myself.  I almost bought one instead of the Monster because they seem like really cool bikes.

Called to get quotes on respringing/valving my fork and replacing my rear spring so that I can finally have a properly set up bike. My 150lbs Italian child impression is terrible.

Who are you going to contact? See if you can get a deal on a rear shock for a hooped 2001 M750 as well. ;)
