Powerwashed the bike and gear on the slab back into town. My left ear is still ringing from the near lightning strike. My hands and feet are still pickled 6 hours later. :o

Well that sure sounds fun.
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

That's a bit scary. Not at all unheard of for cycles to be the strike point for lightening. Dude in Denver died last year on his bike from a lightening hit.

With all the crazy t-storms we've been having - be careful folks

In hindsight it was dumb for me to be all the way out there. I thought I was safely heading home with plenty of sunshine around me, too. Storm just came out of nowhere. Lots of lightning (but no rain/wind) for about 40 miles. It was beautiful at a distance. I did meet a hearty soul on a Street Triple R; we rode back into town together. He told me by SMS this morning the lightning hit a street sign about 15 feet away. That isht was LOUD! So loud I swear the sound waves pushed my helmet to the side (kinda like a gust of wind). Although I was wearing plugs when it happened, my left ear was still ringing when my head hit the pillow last night.

Finally bought some track pants.

Need some gauntlets for Labor Day. Anyone local have a pair they want to sell/lend? My mits are large: XL for most brands, XXL in A*.

Got a set of CorTech Scarabs that are in my 'stuff to sell' pile. Should fit... I'll take a case of New Castle or a couple bottles of posh beers in trade. LMK

Was enough to knock over books in my office...even worse, it knocked over my archives (read stacks) of final exams. It was a mucking fess! [bang]
