Will do, Jim. Ima work around Ian's schedule as I need his wisdom and he's house-fixing/house-hunting these days. Not to mention everyone is wanting to get out and ride. Tentatively planning to get started shortly after October 1.

He may be under my tutelage/supervision. You want a lesson too Jimbo?

Yes and I can be quite flexible in terms of timing. I'm not due for some time, but want to decide if I can do it or need to farm it out.

As I told Skunky, it's not hard - but does require some time if shims are needed and not on hand. A good bit of stuff has to come off to get at the valves - so it's not a job you want to do in the drive way. And if you've got to order shims - then there's the down time of waiting. I did my valves over the winter - and at least a couple folks have seen my bike running since then So it's possible for mechanically inclined mortals to do

Let me know when you decide to do this...the skunk can be the guinea pig. You'd better not be talkin' 'bout the fine S2R1000 I sold you (was it only last year? year before?)! I dub thee "The Skunk Maker"!

I would never defile my fine steed by calling it a skunk!!! From Autohag's signature: "2007 S2R1K Skunk 2009 696 Dark (RIP)" PS It was just last year if you can imagine!

Broke out the soldering gun and wired my powder coated clear lens headlight assembly. I can safely ride at night now

Rode to Seneca Rocks and back with Ben, Brian, Brett, Chris and Travis. Had a cute little bear cross the road in front of us. Funny Brian started the day off by saying he was gonna ride with the bears.

I just installed a headlight relay and I'm more than happy with the output. Hope to get the bike running soon.
