And after lubing the chain, take it for a light ride and then RE-CHECK the tension. I think that's what got me. [bang]

Sweet jebus...

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Looks like the stock pic I found on the net wasn't that far off from the actual situation....

The front sprocket seems usable, but the bracket that holds it in place is done for.

Id pitch it all. Usable or no, it's pretty far gone. Just be done with it

Def that ^.  I thought the comment about maybe re-using was a joke, those bits are trashed.  Also, front sprockets are cheap, chains aren't and a worn front sprocket will accelerate chain wear.  Quality sprockets and chain and you won't have to worry about them for tens of thousands of miles.   [thumbsup]

Hit up Katie's Car's & Coffee to see what the locals have and then hit the roads in Great Falls with a buddy!  If you've never been taken Bellview Rd. off Old Georgetown Pike, it's short but has some nice twists, off camber turns, etc.  Here are a couple cars I spotted......
