Had some fun this morning with the windscreen on the GS. I used a couple rubber spacers and leftover buttons from the dry clutch to rise the screen and get more air over my helmet. Here's a pic of the end result with my invaluable assistant. laughingdp

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

We sorta made bits up as we went along, but it was something like this http://g.co/maps/vk4w7

The only part that doesn't quite match my memory is the bit from reddish knob to 220.  We went back down the mountain from Reddish Knob to the first real intersection - the one where you've gotta turn left up the hill to go up to reddish knob.  At that intersection, if you went straight instead of turning left to go up reddish knob, the road turns to dirt.  If you turn right there it is a steep, sorta rocky dirt road that's maybe more adventure than you'd want on a "road only" buell with pilot power 2cts Cheesy

Anyway, take that dirt road - a left as you are coming down from reddish knob or going straight if you go past the turn for reddish knob on your left, and stay on it till you come to a paved road.  From there i told the GPS to take me to 220 and it did - wasn't far  laughingdp

Ben, I thought yours had a metal tank???   I am thankful the S4R has a metal tank....even though I had the notorious hinge leak fixed up with some JB Weld. Wink
