Of course the more I think about it, the more I would like to commission a custom made aluminum frame ...  [drool]

Aluminum is so pedestrian... Go tube titanium with a carbon subframe.

And have fun selling that to the wife...
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

With Ti you could probably more or less copy the ducati trellis frame design. Aluminum would need a complete re-design and really works best when its done in a complex manner (varying wall thickness, large thin sections etc) - it can make for an extremely stiff, light frame when done right, but I suspect it'd be easier and cheaper to do a light one-off frame from Ti than aluminum for a duc.  Just a guess from my limited fabrication experience.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I might as well get a Plutonium frame. It'll have the same effect on my manhood when my wife gets wind of it! :-X :'(
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

So what's the plan for the weekend? Anyone riding tomorrow?
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

If nothing else, I might head out west a bit and scoot down that road.
