Hi Smok3y welcome to the forum. Track days are always good for you but aren't required to enjoy our rides. Do your own pace, have fun and we always wait for everyone at each major intersection.  [moto] waytogo

Well, I was going to take the road bike out, but I really can't be bothered.  With that in mind, I'll probably roll the SD out and go explore around MacArthur area and see what I can find.

Easy peasy: from MacArthur just keep heading North, get onto River Road, keep going North, River road will eventually turn into gravel all the way up to Whites Ferry once you get there, stop for a drink, then turn around and head back. Wink

Oh well, guess I'll see you tomorrow.  I'm heading out to River Rd to White's Ferry via Poolesville.  Its the only route I know.

Maybe I'll see you on the road DRKWNG.

Get on US 50, when you get to Athens, OH take 33 North, then take I-70, follow that for ~160 miles and you'll be at the Indy GP. How's that for a route? The route going back mist be a little more interesting. - Gene

Whatever you do, dont take MacArthur past Falls Road (into Great Falls Park).  They must have hired the lowest bidder cuz that road is all kinds of make the beast with two backsed up.;  Its so bad, they are waiving admission!  Was there for a few hours earlier with the kiddos/Miles.

There is some WONDERFUL Scenery out there!  (The park and river looked nice too!)

Sorry I missed you.  Never saw where you posted again until after I got back home.

And yes, MacArthur is all dicked up down at the end.  And GOOD GOD there are some impressive homes down there.

am getting ready to go downstairs and put the Gran Canyon back together and see if all goes well. My sister bought a brand new to her '01 Monster 750 that she is itching to go out and ride, so she is pressuring me ( she parted ways ,sorta, with her '97 BMW F650 Funduro-which is for sale) . Looks like a rather Easy paced ride might be in order if my part goes well leaving Kentlands/Gaithersburg around 11:30-ish. ping me on my celly if you need/want details ( three zero one-six seven four-four two six six ). Depending on the girls, the pace may very well step up a bit, but we shall play it by ear!

Where you headed Zooom? How long a ride?

meander around Montgomery County a bit....trying to take roads that are going to give my sister a good feeling out of her new ride...might dip out of county a bit, but nothing too complicated or weird...and till say, somewhere between 4 & 6 ish I guess...

Too good to come hang out with us are you?

my bike is on the charger rebuilding some battery strength till dolci gets back home from teaching her 9:30-10:30 class...she should be home about 11ish...
